Junhee

I was debating whether to talk about K-pop on this blog, but what’s a personal blog for, if not to talk about stuff you enjoy? Here’s some of what I was listening to this September.

Warning: multiple Youtube and Spotify embeds below

Junhee

Junhee of A.C.E made this list last month with the delightful “Supernova” and this month, he released a full solo album with the equally charming “Umbrella”.

His album also included a song featuring the other members of A.C.E, which I also really enjoyed.

I thought the whole album was enjoyable.

ATEEZ

ATEEZ has had a busy year, and after earlier appearances in my June and July roundups, they’ve returned for a Japanese comeback with some beautiful vocals and a sneakily catchy melody.

LUN8

A surprise addition to this list since I don’t follow this group very closely, I really enjoyed the pretty melody of LUN8’s comeback this month as well.

Taemin

Taemin is known for his dramatic performance pieces, and he released a new digital single this month that was tinted with hellfire and brimstone.

The dance practice for the song is predictably impressive, full of tableaus reminiscent of Renaissance art and some of the coolest use of lighting I’ve seen in a K-pop MV, let alone a dance practice video.

Dayoung

And last, but certainly not least, Dayoung of WSJN gave us one last taste of summer with her sexy poolside romp.

What were your favorite new K-pop releases in September?
